SMRC Esports Racing Championship Round 3

Round 3

Round 3 of the SMRC Esports Racing Championship took place last night at Silverstone International.

There was a free practice and qualifying session to determine the grid order, followed by a 20-minute sprint race around the high speed Silverstone circuit.

Kevin Ellis – the only pro-rated iRacing driver in the competition – once again dominated proceedings with another pole position and a lights to flag victory. Ronald Großmann put in another good performance to finish second and Peter Butcher scored his best performance of the championship so far with a fine 3rd place finish.

Going into the final round, the tempo will heat up as drivers fight to secure their spot in the semi-final on 2nd November. The top 10 points scorers plus 4 wild cards will be selected to go through, so it all’s to play for.

The next round of the competition takes place on Thursday 17th October at Brands Hatch Indy circuit.
