SMRC Paddock Pass Podcast – 2021 Round 1 Review & John Kinmond Interview
The 2021 Scottish Motor Racing Club Season got underway on Sunday the 6th of June at Knockhill Racing Circuit in glorious weather. In this episode, host Andy Alston is joined by Scottish C1 Cup driver Tom Denham, Mr SuperfastScots Glenn Alcock with special guest Scottish Classic Sports and Saloons driver John Kinmond.
We look back on the first round and discuss the action and stories from behind the scenes. Given the current Covid restrictions the Paddock Pass is the place to get all the gossip.
John Kinmond takes us behind the wheel of his Rover SD1 and gives us an insight into this fabulous car and what it’s like to race in this exciting championship. Making his debut in the first round was John’s son Adam Kinmond at the wheel of another Rover SD1 so we find out what it’s like being a racing dad too!
We talk about all the championships and the visiting BRSCC National Formula Ford and DDMC Northern Saloon and Sports Car Championships.
