Scottish MINI Cooper Cup to support BTCC

The SMRC are delighted to confirm that the Scottish MINI Cooper Cup will return to the BTCC support package for the Knockhill round of the 2027 season. A trio of races will take place on the 7th to 8th of August, with it forming the headline event for the Scottish Championship in 2027.  The third race will take place on Sunday afternoon and will be televised live on ITV4.

The Scottish MINI Cooper Cup is no stranger to the TOCA package, as it has featured on multiple occasions in the past. But the return in 2027 will mark the end of a 14 year hiatus, with the last appearance of the championship coming at Knockhill in 2013. The return has been received with great enthusiasm by competitors and the club alike.

The Championship is exclusively for the R50 variant of the MINI Cooper and promises to provide some close racing and entertaining on track action.
