Dundee’s Innovation Parc confirmed as ecoRally Scotland Rally Headquarters

Dundee’s Innovation Parc (MSIP) will act as the Rally Headquarters for the upcoming ecoRally Scotland event on the 26 and 27 July.

The 32-hectare site, is the ideal location to support ecoRally Scotland, round eight of the 2025 Bridgestone FIA EcoRally Cup, as Scotland’s home for sustainable innovation and its key role in delivering Scotland’s promise of a net-zero society by 2045.

ecoRally is open to fully electric (EV), during which teams of two (driver and navigator) and their Electric Vehicle, tackle a road route starting out from Dundee, navigating stunning scenery across the Tayside.

Teams will need to record all check points within the given times and complete ‘regularity tests’ checking average speed along the route – precision navigating, problem solving and teamwork will be the order of the day.

Gill Simpson, Marketing and Innovation Director, MSIP, comments, “We’re delighted to host ecoRally. It’s a perfect match – a celebration of sustainable mobility set against the backdrop of one of the UK’s most ambitious innovation hubs for net zero.

“At MSIP, we’re committed to accelerating the transition to a greener future by supporting low carbon industries and fostering collaboration. Welcoming an event that showcases the power of clean transport aligns completely with our vision and values. We look forward to inspiring more conversations and connections that drive sustainable change.”

Steve Burns, Competitions Director of the event’s organiser, The Scottish Motor Racing Club added, “The facilities offered at MSIP and the enthusiasm of the venue team makes MSIP the natural choice for our Rally HQ in Dundee.  MSIP’s motoring heritage coupled with modern sustainable credentials form an ideal marriage for a venue to host this international electric motorsport event.”

Low carbon electricity is available via on-site wind generation through two wind turbines owned and operated by Ecotricity. While the neighbouring Energy from Waste (EfW) plant, operated by MVV Energie is configured to provide sustainable heat to MSIP through a steam pipeline.
