Scottish Legends Cars Championship plus Irish Legends (IL) Double header
The Scottish and Irish cars were combined to give a healthy 23 car grid of which Scottish cars were 18 strong, one of the best away supports we’ve seen. The racing was good with several different winners, from both Scotland and Ireland. The drivers only scored points in their respective championships, so if the top Scot was 3rd overall in a race he’d still get maximum Scottish points. This was a double header, so it was 6 races for the pocket rockets. There were mixed fortunes and a couple of Irish cars won races, including former Scottish Championship regular Paul O’Brien.

Celtic Speed Scottish Mini Cooper Cup in association with Yokohama Tyres and Wheels Around
Some really close Mini racing saw John Duncan win race 1 well clear of Dominic Wheatley who had David Sleigh for company. Race 2 had a reversed grid of the top 8, so Simon Holderness was on pole. Dominic Wheatley put in a good drive going from 7th to win with Robbie Dalgleish getting up to 2nd and newcomer Craig Blake going from 6th to 3rd in a race with plenty of overtaking. Craig Blake won the newcomers class in race 1 then Michael Weddell took it in race 2. While Hannah Chapman won the Ladies class in both races as her competitors Ashleigh Morris and Fiona Kindness took a 2nd and 3rd each in class.
