August 2007
School Sports Day

SMRC Research took part in the “Mills and Reeve” School Sports Day Challenge on 30 August.  The event, which generated over £3,000, was in aid of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) and was widely supported by a variety of local businesses.

The team of “athletes” competed in such favourite school sports day activities like egg and spoon, sack and three legged races.  The best performance was recorded in the relay race narrowly beating teams from companies including Bidwells and Virgin Money.

An overall position of 12th from a field of 20 was achieved, “an excellent result considering the high level of competition” said Roger Munby.  A thoroughly enjoyable time was had by all, with the resolution that we will train harder for the event next year!

P.S. Our thanks go to members of Lovewell Blake who also contributed to the team performance.
